Salo XIV est un « classique » du salon érotique car beaucoup d’artistes de cette saison 2026 ont déjà participé au salon ; ils sont accompagnés de nouvelles recrues. 

Il n’est pas aisé d’organiser un salon érotique aujourd’hui, alors qu’un grand nombre de personnes sont accusées de prédation, d’agressions sexuelles ou de pédophilie : des animateurs scolaires, des chanteurs et acteurs préférés des français, des critiques, des artistes, des politiques, des policiers et même l’Abbé Pierre ! C’est un tsunami de violences sexuelles révélées. Il y a manifestement un problème avec le respect de l’intégrité physique des enfants et des femmes en France. On a d’ailleurs constaté récemment que les enfants thaïlandais, indonésiens, algériens sont aussi des enfants et non des jouets, comme André Gide et bien d’autres le pensaient. 

Depuis le tout premier salon du dessin érotique, les trois quarts des artistes qui candidatent et participent sont des femmes car comme son nom l’indique, ce n’est pas un salon pornographique, mais un salon érotique et c’est bien différent. 

L’érotisme est accroché à l’imagination, au fantasme, à la poésie, aux odeurs et parfums, aux paysages, au romantisme, à l’art ; c’est une sensation personnelle qui n’est pas liée au sexe, à la domination, au pouvoir, ni même à la réalité. L’érotisme s’arrête parfois avec la sexualité et toujours lorsque celle-ci n’a pas été désirée, voulue, choisie.

Salo XIV is a « classic » edition for this erotic fair since many of the artists taking part in the 2026 event have already participated in earlier years; they are joined by newcomers.

Organizing an erotic art fair today is no easy feat, given the large number of people accused of sexual predation, sexual assault, or pedophilia: school activity leaders, popular French singers and actors, critics, artists, politicians, police officers, and even Abbé Pierre! It’s a tsunami of revealed sexual violence. There is clearly a problem regarding respect for the physical integrity of children and women in France. Moreover, it has recently been observed that children from Thailand, Indonesia, and Algeria are children too, and not toys as André Gide and many others once believed. Since the very first edition of this erotic drawing exhibition, three-quarters of the artists who apply and participate are women because, as its name suggests, it is not a pornographic exhibition, but an erotic one – and that is quite different. Eroticism is linked to the imagination, to fantasy, to poetry, to scents and perfumes, to landscapes, to romance, to art; it is a personal sensation that is not linked to sex, domination, power, or even reality. And eroticism sometimes ends where sexuality enters, and without exception when that sexuality has not been desired, willed, or chosen.
